Good Morning Everyone!!! Just when I thought that I was almost used to the trauma of turning the BIG 4-0, last week a brand new trauma hit me! BG's son Kevin, his girlfriend Laura & the grandkiddies descended upon our little beachside home for the week! Let me tell you turning 40 has nothing on being called GRAMMA for the 1st time!!! I woke on Tuesday morning to Kevin & Bryon giving baby Haley (age 14 months) a bath (due to a poopy diaper), they decided that they were gonna go get a coffee & newspaper & just do some guy bonding, so it was up to me to finish baby's bath, diaper her, get her dressed & feed her some breakfast. This was all going great until Dakota (age 5) came strolling out of what is now referred to as the boy's room and plunked himself down beside me on da couch. "Did you have a good sleep?" I asked, "yes" he answered, just about then little Cyress (age 3) awoke & came & sat with us. All of a sudden Dakota looked at me & said "GRAMMA?" I can honestly say that I did not hear the rest of the question he was trying to ask as I couldn't breath nor see or hear for the black fog that was rolling around in my brain!!! Well, don't you just know that Bryon & Kevin showed up from their little bonding session & Bryon snapped this pic of me & the boys!!! (If I look a bit stunned it's because I couldn't decide if I was gonna be sick or break out into a big grin at being called gramma!)

We had lots of fun going to Colasanti's Tropical Gardens which has a petting zoo full of baby goats, big goats, chickens, roosters & even a donkey!!! Of course, proud grampa Bryon had to take a pic of me & baby at the petting zoo. Baby Haley was a bit afraid of the black & white lemurs, who kept coming up to the window & making her jump!!! It was quite cute actually!!! They bought BG & I a beautiful minature Rose bush & something called a Peacock plant (when it blooms, the flowers look like peacock feathers!) We took everybody to the Windsor Crossing Outlet Mall. BG & I took the boys & let them run wild in & around the parking lot so Laura, Kevin & baby Haley could do some shopping without havin to keep an eye on the boys.

Fun was had by all & then it was time to take them to Toronto to catch the train for Winnipeg. BG & I had 2 daze of lazin' around after which it was time to start the clean up!!! Who knew being called gramma was so much work!!! LOL
